Anchor aweigh: Eagle parts get freshened up
New London — J. Goodison Co. Inc. of North Kingstown, R.I., on Friday completed a four-week restoration of U.S. Coast Guard barque Eagle's anchor windlass, anchor chains and anchors, concluding with the reinstallation of the nearly 5,000-pound port side anchor.
Hunter Wilcox, removed the tag line, and Mike Beulieu navigated the skiff, both with Gwenmor Marine Contracting of Mystic, to finish guiding the port side anchor for the Eagle into position to be raised Friday at Fort Trumbull State Park in New London.
