Given that there are 4.3 pizza establishments in Connecticut for every one resident — most of them pretty darned good — it's got to be special to single one pie out. Yes, the Carne Pizza at Daddy Jack's. Thin, crispy crust; just enough tomato sauce to add a "tang" component; smooth Mozzarella coating and finally diced and plentiful bits of smokey bacon, crumbled Italian sausage; and squares of sweet, lean ham. There are plenty of "meat" pizzas out there, but this one is truly amazing. It comes in two sizes ($14-$17) but, even if it's just you, go big. You'll be happy you did.
